What is DEI?

Diversity refers to the presence of a wide range of individual differences and identities within a group, organization or society, encompassing characteristics such as race, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, religious beliefs and more.

Equity involves ensuring fairness and impartiality in the treatment of individuals, considering their unique needs and circumstances. It goes beyond equality, which treats everyone the same, to address the inherent disadvantages and barriers faced by certain groups.

Inclusion refers to creating a welcoming and supportive environment that values and embraces diversity. It involves actively involving and engaging individuals from all backgrounds, fostering a sense of belonging and ensuring that everyone's voices are heard and respected.
